This is before the invention of modern compass and magnets.They used an oil filled vessel, and then floated on it, an iron fish shaped needle.
The needle had been static charged by rubbing it on hair or wool.
We know now that static electricity, like magnets creates north and south poles on the needle.
This compass was used to travel long distances.This compass app, is inspired by that compass, the fact being represented by the fish in our logo.This compass not only shows four main directions, it also shows four sub-directions along with users location in users own mother tongue as well!using users location, the app points to earths true north- not the magnetic one, which makes it ideal for Vastu Shastra usage.
